Professional Standards

When considering counselling it is important to choose a professionally qualified and experienced practitioner who has completed a rigorous and thorough training.

I completed my professional training at WPF Therapy, one of the leading counselling and psychotherapy training organisations in the UK. It has a reputation for both clinical and academic excellence and is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). These two organisations are the largest professional bodies for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, and ensure the highest professional standards.

My qualifications and experience

I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from the University of Roehampton. This training is over four years in duration and requires a substantial amount of clinical experience, theoretical understanding and personal analytic psychotherapy.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a professional member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). These professional bodies have codes of ethics to which I subscribe, which ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice.

I am committed to a regular programme of continued professional development to increase my skills and knowledge.

I see clients in private practice and present workshops on work, business and parenting/donor-related issues. In addition to that I have clinical experience working for WPF Therapy, and the Victim Support Scheme.
